Looking for feedback and or people currently on voyager as their ISP.

Looking at changing from Snap to them - due to the better support and business based ISP and helpdesk.

They also let me use my own hardware for the gateway with support. Where Snap does just no support :(

Any info would be appreciated.

Vibe Communications are pretty good, Voyager are also good however have not had as much experience with them.

Are Voyager available for the general public again now.
Back in 1996 or 1997 cant remember exact year I started my internet experience and chose Voyager. I loved it but then they shut down general public for just business I think it was. Was sad to have to find another ISP and went with paradise.

HTPC Intel Pentium G3258 cpu, Gigabyte H97n-wifi motherboard, , 8GB DDR3 ram, onboard graphics. Hauppuage HVR 5500 tuner, Silverstone LC16M case, Windows 10 pro 64 bit using Nextpvr and Kodi

Yeah they are now to Businesses. Thanks will also check out Vibe Communications.

Hopefully someone is using them?

Voyager? They died off years ago (2001, from memory) didn't they? Or this some different company?

We have voyager at work. No complaints from us about them. They give a lot of data for the price given that it is Business Broadband.

The main advantage for us is Voyager to Voyager data is unlimited so we have off site backup at a colo and it is all unmetered.

Haven't used them personally but I have heard good things about them and can't recall seeing any negative experiences shared.

I use Voyager at home and work as well , have vdsl at home since last November and never had any issues, at work we have UFB and haven't had any major outages. I wish they had an unlimited package for home , bit expensive if you're using more than 100 G per month for a home connection, below is a speedtest I did just now from my home VDSL.

I personally use a few ISP's at different places.

Spark - Home UFB
Vodafone - Flat Cable
Vibe - Work
Unleash / Solarix - parents place.

If you're wanting good support the ISP I would first recommend is Unleash / Solarix (phone the guys on 0800 750 250) followed closely by Vibe. I've used Voyager at a few places but they don't allow everyone to signup.

We are using Voyager for our UFB connection at work, we've had zero problems.

They peer domestically and generally use vocus for international transit, latency is good and there doesn't appear to be any stupid transparent caching web proxy nonsense.

Ocron founder Seeby Woodhouse retained the Voyager name/brand when he sold/left Orcon.

We used Voyager for a VDSL connection at my old job, no issues with it and good constant speeds etc.

Seeby Woodhouse I think owns voyager - he owned Orcon before selling it to Kordia.
So going by his previous success, I think he knows a thing or two about running a successful ISP.

Bumping very old post.

Thought I'd report back for anyone interested in moving to Voyager

Unfortunately they haven't lived up to my expectations

Sales is slow and often give in in-correct information or promises they can't for-fill.

Requests often need chasing up.

Service is better, but if you are not using their hardware, they don't want to know you.

Regretting not going unleashed or Vibe.

Anyone want to pay my disconnection fee?

My recommendation - find someone else.

We use their wholesale services for Broadband and SIP trunks and find them awesome. The provisioning portal is wicked too.

Never had an issue that we couldn't fix or get fixed by tech support.

A couple of years ago (maybe 18 months) there were a few hiccups when they switched on their new voice platform but since then been happy as.

Maybe they pay more attention to wholesale customer...
