That's basically price parity with Skinny ($98), which makes it the equal cheapest gigabit plan out there. Nice!

I'm guessing IPV6 support and free static IP availability make Voyager a better choice than Skinny for the budget-conscious geek who wants gigabit? Will definitely look at switching once my contract is up.

Also,

1) Skinny DO NOT offer static IP at any price. Voyager static IP is $0/month

2) As a former Skinny customer, I can tell you there is a definitely a distinct difference in quality of service. The evening slowdown is very real on Skinny whereas on Voyager, unnoticeable.

You sure you aren't talking about Skinny wireless? They don't offer a Static IP, but they use Spark's network, there should not be any discernible 'evening slowdown'.

Yeah, Skinny fixed-line is the same product as Bigpipe and Spark - no issues with performance at any time that I've noticed. The 4G product would be a different kettle of fish.

Voyager do charge a one off fee for static IP.

But after that, its "free" as it were.....

Quite sure. We were on a 1Gb fibre connection with Skinny before switching to Voyager. Whilst Skinny was not unsatisfactory (jeez it's 1Gb fibre after all) we noticed a discernible hit in the evening peak hours. On Voyager it is not noticeable. YMMV etc.

You would have to be a fool to pay through the nose for Spark identical service. All the Spark customers would have left long ago if that were the case?

TBH I have noticed no difference in performance between a comparable Bigpipe and spark product - With Spark you pay for right to be able to call someone and have netflix and lightbox included

It doesn't need to be nuanced or richly detailed. It's correct and you were pushing an incorrect view. It's well known on here that the Spark, Bigpipe and Skinny networks all use the same underlying network.

What the hell is brigading? Is that when everyone disagrees with you and they agree with someone else?

By the way - they're on the same network. I know this for a fact, along with Talkiet; I used to work for Spark.
