Thanks for that subtly nuanced & richly detailed reply. I'm sure we're all very grateful for your sage advice.

All I see is brigading and zero facts, pfft!

the fact is your not going to get facts, because its commercially sensitive information, the best you can do is have someone, like Talkiet, who works there and is a pretty reputable member of this forum confirm it for you. which he has.

if you dont like that, its on you but dont go around slinging mud because the answers dont fit your agenda.

Okay, that is very tempting.

@vygrNetworkMonkey would you be able to confirm the process to get and cost of a static IP please (I use OpenVPN to remote access home network).

Heya @mdf

Just send a ticket request via email (support@voyager.nz) and request a Static IP on your connection.
To speed up the process, provide your account number and PPP username in the same ticket.

The price for a the Static IP is a one-off $14.95

Hence why I bailed.... they couldnt offer me 100/100, only at a business rate :(

I may have to have a chat with them and maybe move back now ;)

You broke our hearts ... and now you want back?

However, we are not above bribery .. beer helps! 🍻

Super thanks, though I need to sign up first! Fibre has gone in the street and the existing contract should be up so the only thing holding me back is over analysing different providers and plans - specifically whether I really need gigabit enough for the price premium. You've pretty much settled that though!

I can do one better then!

During the signup process, there's a check box for the Static IP - so you will have the IP assigned during provisioning, and it'll be immediately available when you get online.

There is a small bug in the signup page:

If you enter your address and select Gig Fibre then it shows the plan for $99. If you then click you want a Smart Homeline the price is automatically updated to $119 (yet the addon is only $10), then if you click back to Naked the price goes to $109.

I've switched to gigabit from existing 100/20.

change request form had incorrect pricing, and additional information field was not available. I let customer service know.

Got swapped on next business day.

So far did not see speeds above 300-400mbit both ways on LAN using Sparks Smart Modem

I've let the team know!

Feel free to proceed with the order and I'll get the price amended in the back end.

Heya @andrewcnz

Sometimes there's a delay from Enable, due to the way they distribute the data.

Feel free to PM me your address, and I'll manually plug it into the back-ends I have and come back to you asap.

Sooo uhhh, you got any more of them HyperFibres yet?

Seriously though. A few of us have it available in our area now and want to upgrade and switch to a competent ISP.

Is there anything that could be done? Pretty plz. With beers on top?
