michaelmurphy - how do I do this in Vista?
Voyager are going to be monitoring my connection for the next 24 hours, so let's see what happens.

question is why are you still using vista?

open Device Manager:

  1. In Device Manager, open Network adapters.
  2. Right-click on the NIC and choose Properties.
  3. Click the Advanced tab.
  4. Scroll down to VLAN ID.
  5. Set the ID that you would like the NIC to have and click OK.

Works with my laptop (and some apps I use only work on Vista). I am due a new laptop once I can afford it though - this one is a 2009 vintage.

Thanks for that, will give that a try.

I think I'll leave it for now and see what happens after their 24 hour test.

They've given me a few things to test so will go through those tonight. Fingers crossed a solution is on the horizon.

It works for my situation and I've got no budget to upgrade anyway.
