Long time listener first time caller. It's been awhile.

I was wondering if anyone is using a product to analyse there spending habits? There are some clever applications out there that allow you to upload a csv file and give you great breakdowns etc but they are mainly focused for the US market.

Any recommendations? I'm an apple fanboy so if it has an iOS app that's a bonus.

Cheers,

As you were.

I use Xero Personal. It's provided to me via BNZ so all transactions are automatically interfaced, but I believe you can do manual uploads if you happen to use a different bank.

The web interface is designed to work seamlessly in Safari on the iPad, and I think there is an iPhone app for it. Being a cloud based product for it you will incur an ongoing charge to use it.

Kiwibank, ASB and BNZ have money tracking tools in their online banking

Kiwibank’s Heaps! is free and can take manual transaction uploads from any New Zealand bank.

XeroPersonal (30 day free trial then an annual fee) take manual transaction uploads from any New Zealand bank and automatic import/feed from BNZ.

Other local online tools include: Cash Control, Pocketsmith and Who Stole my Money

Actually, Xero can automatically import transactions from any bank in this list: http://help.xero.com/#Payments_PartnerFeeds

That's ANZ, ASB, BankDirect, BarterCard, BNZ, CRT, HBS, Heartland, Kiwibank, NBS, NZ Home Loans, Rabobank, SBS, Sovereign, Co-operative Bank, TSB and Westpac.

Though some of them don't support every kind of account.
