Can I ask how you got your yearly fees dropped to $0 ? I have spent about 70k last year and got 700 cash back but my yearly fees were obviously not dropped.

Email them via the online portal when I get charged the yearly fees during my anniversary month and ask them to waive it considering my yearly spend which is less than yours. They even waive the joint card fees for my Wife using same account.

Do whatever you want to do man.

How long has the ANZ airpoints platinum lounge pass reward been around?
On the ANZ site it calls it a "new feature".

It's been available with Kiwibank since they launched their Airpoints card. It's been available with ANZ and Westpac since May.

wasabi2k: ASB True Rewards Platinum - 1% back as true rewards dollars you can redeem in their crazy overpriced online store or at select retailers.

It accumulates - spend it on christmas/birthday presents and stuff at farmers.

Exactly what I do. Kids have got lots of toys through this - very handy for birthdays!  Am an ASB customer so was natural to pick their card.  A lot of people complain that their reward partners dont suit them.  I say; use their petrol vouchers and bank the saved cash.

Just moved our card to ASB for two reasons:

1) It does Semble!
2) You can put the True Rewards towards KiwiSaver as cash. Good way to put a bit more in the wife's Kiwisaver account.

freitasm: Use BNZ GlobalPlus and kept using it after the change. It is now giving cashback and it worked well when we bought a new car and paid on the card...

I did not know Rolls Royce took Visa - way to go!

Thanks for the feedback guys, gave me a few different options to look at.

With the ANZ's Platinum cashback Card, are there any fees associated with cash advances? Do they still have the 55day grace period?

55 day interest free period applies to the ANZ Visa Platinum. Why would you want to do a cash advance? Think of the interest rate you will be paying!

Do whatever you want to do man.

"Thank you bmt for your message about how your reward points accumulate
on your ANZ Airpoints Visa Platinum.

The offer of Koru Lounge passes will only apply to spending made after 1
April 2015 as this is when it was added to the Conditions of Use. The
$20,000 needs to be spent on eligible purchases. Please note, eligible
purchases do not include cash advances, balance transfers, or the
purchase of cash substitutes such as travellers' cheques, gaming chips
or business related expenses."

Started 1 April 2015 for the ANZ Airpoints Platinum card. Was gutted as I would have got a couple of passes!

I have a cashback card, I put everything on my CC.  Each year I get around $250-$300 back after fees.

I see it as free money, I never pay interest on the card, its a low credit limit and I just load more money onto it when needed (use it basically as an eftpos card).

Sure 1% isnt much, but it does add up :)
