2. High freight costs from point of manufacture

 

3. High cost of labour

 

4. Strong legal rights for consumers, eg. C.G.A., F.T.A. increase risk

 

Oh and don't forget, everything else (that you need to do business) is relatively expensive in New Zealand - so it's a feedback loop ;)
