This would be up there. I do remember a few telco ones that were similar or bigger in terms of impact. 

 

There will be many folks burning the midnight oil to bring the infrastructure back online. I have every confidence that they'll be putting in mitigations avoid this from reoccurring.

 

I say this from past experiences working in a different in the trenches in a different industry.

 

 

Should have been mitigation's in place to stop it happening, but then its difficult to comment as we will never actually know what the issue was/is. It does seem very third world.

Joke aside it will really have impacted some people thats for sure and not only with their IT team but their PR team will as well.

 

Vodafone with be thinking phew spotlight is off of us for a little while for ballsing up some poor elderly ladies account.

Yay, I can finally get my money transferred, albeit a day later than I wanted. Guessing they won't cover the lost interest I would have got on that 1 day delay  with the other bank..
