Just did mine and no problems verifying driver license and air points. I really love the idea of an integrated payment/loyalty card/wallet/app - just wish you could link it all to an existing credit card (like Google Wallet) as unlikely to load and use another debit Mastercard.

Damn though according to this the competition closed yesterday 11-Jan

I just tried mine now and it's rejecting my drivers license info. What's the License Version??

Edit.  It's sorted.

they can easily sort it out for you if you have flown an international flight on @flyairnz since they've already checked your passport

Personally I had problems too with verification, since I never have been nor will be listed in the whitepages.  So my verification failed, then I logged into the myairnz website and got into my OneSmart account that way and it magically verified and sorted me out that way

I heard although the original draw closed today or yesterday or something they are doing another draw next month

vrtual: Ooo ... but wait!  Once you get through all that pain you get to log in for the first time.

Login appears to go OK, then it asks me a "security question": [snip]

Yeah I just got that too. Well for me it asked what city I was born in (something they do not know). Did not accept the answer I gave. I have sent them an email.

I had the same problem in December and since we were travelling in January thought it seemed like a plan. As with so many others, white pages stumped it/me. Went into a small BNZ branch and the teller had recognised my problem before I even got to the window. Had had so many similar clients... My wife just said forget it - too much mucking around. We are in London right now and as with the last few times here, our ANZ Travel Cards are a pain in the derriere. They vary between having to sign and absolutely nothing. Have never had the pin work here despite each time we return home we have the pin checked. Wonder whether the BNZ card may be better - and we won´t have to carry several of them. Whilst in London, do I buy a Vu Duo - exchange rate is very good too. See my other posting.

Javing to sign with a credit card (even a chip card) overseas is a common thing, especially in the UK. PIN's aren't a global thing.

Has everyone already got their new Onesmart card? I haven't got it in the snail mail yet...

With all these registration issues maybe I shouldn't be too concerned, but disappointed I cannot enter a prize draw due to slowness of sending out cards at their end.

I'm completely amazed that people are signing up/activating/using it.

I only signed up for the prize. If I do head overseas again this year for a holiday I'll no doubt use it for the foreign currency part as it is very good value for withdrawing money overseas.

nathan: cheap way to buy business class and premium economy upgrades

Yip, it'll be interesting to see if Air NZ clamp down on this loophole. Because you can also buy airpoints $ on the card, you can easily access these discounted fares by simply using your card to purchase the flight, rather than having to earn the $ travelling.

I don't think they see it as a loophole, but a calculated way to make more money on higher end seats

you can only upgrade one class, so econ - prem econ or prem econ - bus

and they still decide whether to sell them to you or not

meanwhile they already have your cash

I didn't seem to have any issues with activating - did the drivers license and airpoints steps (Global Plus member).

On the website they stated that the entry period was now 29 feb so we all should be good :)

That's good, as, I don't have my card yet. Will have to read the fine print about fees, I saw another thread here regarding high fees, but, not sure if that is only if you use it (as opposed to activating it).
