For Great Justice Coconut Porter by Kereru Brewing: One of my absolute favorite NZ beers. It's a great porter on its own, and the toasted coconut adds a ton of extra flavor to the beer. This is generally my go to beer.

Great taste! As per my post above have you tried their Cacao Imperial?

I get a bit tired of all of the excessively hoppy IPAs which just seem to compete as to how tongue-stripping they can be rather than refining the taste, but that said I like the Kush & Knife Party from Liberty Brewing.

I'm hopeful that NZ is moving beyond the excessively hoppy IPA's and dropping excessive amounts of hops into every thing. There are numerous styles that aren't hoppy that breweries are adding tons of hops to, and it's very disappointing.

I am however, glad that there seems to be more and more "east coast" IPA's showing up, that are more fruity than piney. Some of them can be absolutely delicious, and not be over hopped. I do however hate seeing things like over-hopped brown ales (looking at you Deep Creek), or ESB's, that by definition are not hoppy.

And this is precisely the reason I don't like craft beer at all.

The craft beer flavour reminds me of the crappy home brew students used to try back in the old uni days -- the only difference is that the modern craft brewers do a better job of filtering out sediments.

But everyone has different tastes. I'll stick to non-offensive lagers for the time being though.

Yes I have! It's another of my favorites. The non-imperial is cheaper and just as tasty. The imperial is my go to special occasion beer though, unless it's special enough to pull something out of my "cellar" (back of the fridge) where I keep the really good stuff.
