Hey!

Hope this is the correct section

I am looking for an hdmi switch that has a bluetooth remote (or even wifi) and is quite fast at switching. Is there such a switch :P

Do you want to switch inputs or outputs?

ie. Switching several consoles or switching between a TV and a projector?

Switch between pc and ps3.

So basically i have my pc and ps3 plugged into the pc monitor but its quite a hassle to switch inputs. Is there a hdmi switch with a wireless remote avaliable rather than an ir remote?

I have been thinking and came up with this idea. Would it work?
So purchase USB-UIRT and a standard hdmi switch with ir switching. Then teach the ir remote switch input button ir command to Eventghost and so when i press a certain hotkey, USB-UIRT automatically sends an ir signal to the switch which are both hidden away.

Would this work? Cheers!

Ah right - I had the other requirement myself and the best way was to get a dual output HT amp...

Do you need a full amp? They do the job just fine :-)

no i dont need a full amp. Just a simple little hdmi switch that can be hidden away out of sight :)

What do you think about my other idea? Would it work? If so, how hard to implement?

No idea. I remember having all sorts of silly, complex ideas when I was young. I built a wireless comms system on an Atari 600XL and Atari 130XE using an LED and LDR, which achieved a glorious 0.5 bytes/second.

When I added a cable purely for sync I got it up to about 2 bytes/sec.

Nowadays I'd buy an HDMI switch with buttons on it. You're about to spend an hour or so mashing buttons anyway, what's one more for the simplest possible solution?

How about a normal remote control HDMI switch and a RF based harmony remote?
They come with a base station which converts from RF to IR

The you could have macros set to switch the inputs, and adjust the buttons to be used.

or one of these dongles, cheaper but you don't get the macros etc.
