I'm looking for a TV, primary use will be for Gaming, used with PS3 & PC, with a driving cockpit.
On a strict budget so under 1K, screen size wise looking for 46" - 50". 50" will depend on size, have some issues with spacing.

What are thoughts about these:

LG 47LT640E LED
Specs are hard to come by but found this on PbTech site

Panasonic

TH-L50B6Z

TH-L50B6Z LED
Specs are here they are sparse however.

The specs make it look like the LG is better than the Panasonic.X

Just get a cheap variant like that.
You wont go getting some gaming grade TV or panel for cheap of those sizes.
Just make sure its 1080P and has many HDMI ports and you would be good.

I personally go for Samsung, I got a great 50inch for $1050 which I use for gaming on my pc (firefall blacklight lol bf3 just to name a few) it looks batter than my overpriced gaming moniters, I can give you the model when I get home if you want

I will only every buy a Samsung or LG panel. LG willg et you a cheaper option but might sacrifice some features. I would run a 23" monitor in the cage for the car setup?

Hmm I've heard good things about the Sony 47W800 best input lag but it's way out of my budget.
I wonder if the 46W700 is the same, however will need to stretch the budget by ~$200 or so for it.

For PC to Screen - I have not had very much luck getting HDMI to output anything regarding a reasonable image (unless one is sitting 20' away and cant really see the detail). Generally I plug all my devices into a d-sub or DVI connection and drive it that way.

For Xbox 360 (I guess PS3), I use HDMI because the game graphics fidelity requirements isn't as high as the PC. Not sure what the Xbox one PS4 are going to be like in this regards.

For gaming I would suggest a screen that can handle fast moving images (not changing frames, but things like sports where there is a lot of camera panning).
