Hi all

Just wondering what others have done to try to prevent/limit floorstanders from falling over when pushed?

I have a pair of Diamond 155 with spikes and they get rather wobbly with a gentle touch..

I don't want to drill anything into them ideally, or if I do where is it safe to drill?

Do you have Wooden Floors? If so remove the spikes and try good old Blu-tak on each corner. If you have Carpet,try adding a solid Plinth(same size or slightly bigger dimension wise than your speakers ie Depth by Width) under your speakers eg Wood,Granite etc. Blu-tak the speakers to that Plinth. Add spikes to that plinth so it stays steady on the carpet.

according to this pic the stock 'plinth' on the 155's is just screwed on, so should be easy enough to remove it and fit something larger to make them stable

Great idea, I'll double check first then I'll see if I can find another wider more stable plinth

Could it be that the floor is not level with the spikes? If not try adjusting the spikes a bit.

I have used child door restraint latches before. The kind that come as a strap with a hole on each end plastic plates that can be stuck to the wall and door (in this case the speaker). I used some 3M removable adhesive sticker thingys and it held the speaker to the wall pretty securely without marring either surface long term.
