Hey. I had to replace my plasma earlier this year and found a good price on this Samsung KU6000 4K TV.

I noticed since new, it seems to have a lot of blur in dark scenes or dark on bright text like the pac n save ad for example, the dark colours drag.

It's very noticeable in gaming and the only thing that helps is to up the brightness which washes out the picture.

If anyone has experience with this line, is this typical of them?

Panning across a dark scene in gaming and having the dark colours drag on looks awful.

I have messaged Samsung and am waiting on a reply, hopefully they can sort it out.

I uploaded a video showing the worst it can get in the game The Last of Us in 4K Mode on the PS4 Pro.

This can happen on any input or app.

Yes. Every extra bit I can turn off is off. Game mode also does this.

Had a call from Samsung - They insist I have it inspected by their service centre. Not too keen on that, as if it's how the line of TV's is, I could be charged.

If anyone has this TV, do you notice trails, smearing behind moving dark text on bright backgrounds, or in dark movie scenes etc?

I have all extra processing turned off. Only thing that helps with the problem somewhat is to turn the brightness up.

Purchased the same TV recently and can't say I have noticed any blurring... that clip is bloody awful! :/

I don't game on it but have watched plenty of movies - will try have a look tonight to see if I can reproduce.

I'm confused as to how you expect them to fix it if you won't let their repair agent inspect it? From the original post I assume it's the best part of 6 months old so too late to reject it as an out of box failure, so don't see you have much choice but to allow Samsung to investigate.

If you have a Blue ray or movie file you know causes this effect what about taking it into a shop and trying it on the same model?

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

Saw the pac n save ad a few times last night and didn't notice any blur or smear in the blacks. Only setting i have played with is the HDR one as far as I can see. Happy to test a movie file if you want to PM me...
