This old issue for some of you I bet ;)
Toshiba Qosmio X70-A
Windows 10 - 1803
Display connects fine direct HDMI to TV (LG) and through Receiver (Yamaha), but doesn't have any sound.
When connected in HDMI, Sound control Playback box does not list anything other than the Speakers on the Laptop.
Other Laptop (HP), it comes up with LG or Yamaha and I switch to those then configure the surround sound etc etc rather than playing audio through laptop speakers.
Spent the day trawling through a **** ton of pages, but as per usual they all go off topic and the "microsoft" support doesn't quite understand what people are saying ;)
Now, under my Device Manager, I just have "Conextant SmartAudio HD". BUT, when I select 'Show Hidden Devices', I get Intel Display Audio showing up, but this comes with a Code 45 saying it's not connected. I think this is the issue... ?
Would love some help and will provide as much details as possible.. just want this audio issue fixed so i can hook this up properly.
