Hi,

I've recent;y built a HPTC using the Asus M2A=VM HDMI motherboard running mediaportal RC2. The combination of the onboard graphics and the PCIe HDMI card works well when the system is running. But the problems start after I suspend the system (S3 power state).

Basically it seems like the HDMI doesn't re-initialize sometimes. My TV just says "no signal".

Anyone have this combination working successfully?

Operating System: XP SP3
Software: Mediaportal RC2
Hardware: ASUS M2A-VM HDMI, AMD (dual core) +5600, 2GB, 640GB HDD
Remote: Microsoft MCE

What bios version do you have?

I recently updated the BIOS to version 1803 which is the latest.

The system suspends and restarts well if I haven't used the tuners (NOVA-DT 500). I'm continuing to do some testing i.e. length of time it has been on etc...

I was about to say yes about the combo until I realised you were running XP SP3. I run Vista and use the hibernate mode and generate the hibernate command from the power scheduler plug-in in TV-Server.
I changed a jumper setting on the motherboard so that the PCI, PCI-E slots and the rear USB ports remain hot while in S3 (covered in the installation manual). From memory the jumper was right next door to the pins for the internal spdif you would have connected to the daughterboard that carries the hdmi. Haven't had a problem with the tuners on resume, but I can't comment on the hdmi resume because I installed the 8500GT card before I started using S3.
