Hi, I have had a LG 55 inch TV working for some time on a system where i use ARC to send the sound to my AMP. The HDMI cable run is about 5 meters. This worked well with the Audio dropping out only when changing the volume then would resume after volume change.
I Have now purchased a new Toshiba 65" Android TV and when using the ARC every 2 -3 mins the Audio will drop out for about 1-2 secs on the same setup, my amp shows the HDMI indicator / Audio type indicator dropping then coming back on the display.(if needed i can supply a video to explain this)
This drop will occur no matter the audio type used eg PCM, AC3, DTS it also does not matter what im playing from eg TV application or PS4 connected to HDMI on TV using the ARC for Audio. There is no issues when connecting external devices (PS4) directly to the AMP.
- Would this be an issue with the detection of the ARC on my AMP?
- Could it be the HDMI run is to long? (The cable is HDMI 2.0)
- Is there something that can be used to boost the HDMI so that the ARC is better?
Any information or troubleshooting tips will be appreciated.
