Hi all!
I really cannot find a way to sort this one out...

There is no point in having some channels listed in the Tv Guide section, as they do not have a program available: HD test channel, Parliament, TVNZ Sport and for me, MaoriTV (I use DJKXML to get the epg data and somehow, it does not read MaoriTV anymore);

Whatever I do and however I play with the settings in TV Server, I cannot get what I want. If it is not shown in TV Guide, that channel is not available at all, is like "for a channel to be accesible, it has to be listed in TV Guide even if no data is available". If this is the case, it seems like a very stupid rule to me...

I expected the problem to be easy to resolve, just un-tick the "Visible in TV Guide" box for those channels, and that's it. The problem is that when I press OK to exit TV Server, somehow, that box is re-checked automatically. I have to un-check the box in the channels list to avoid seeing the channel in TV Guide, but then the channel is not accessible at all.

Is there a way to have acces to a certain channel without having it listed in TV Guide?

As an alternative I would suggest using the DVB-T EIT data to popluate the EPG for those channels. You will only get Now/Next data but it will mean the guide doesn't have those empty spaces; I personally use it for FreeviewHD and Parliament TV .

To do this (if you didn't already know) you need to go into EPG settings in Tv Server setup, select the channels you want and select English as the language. Then under the EPG settings (in recording or general settings, I cannot remember) you can make changes such as forcing download to fill holes, download whilst idle and/or recording. Set these how you want, I think I have ticked pretty much everything.

Then you will get some data for those channels in your guide. As to your orginal question, I do not know.

You can access a channel not listed in the TV Guide by pressing the appropriate number key on the keyboard.

eg. I don't like maori/parliament/tvsports extra so they arn't in my guide or channel list
however i can still access the channels by pressing a number on the keyboard
the channel number is setup in tv server.

it seems a bit buggy because i want prime to be on channel 5 but it keeps going to maori tv which is really annoying!
