Hey guys,

So I’ve set it up as you said where I connect one end of the digital optical cable to the Avr receivers "Optical IN 1 CDR/TAPE" and the other end to the TV. The red light shines through each of the ends of the digital optical cable just a friendly fyi.

Any help would be greatly appreciated <3. Thanks :D.

Looks like you have separate TL inputs for DVD/VCR to TAPE/CDR - is there a separate option for DVD/VCR you can use on the receiver?

E: I checked your manual and your setup is correct? Weird. I suddenly remember why I've bought one hifi setup in the last 20 years.

Could be a TV thing - is there an HDMI + Digital option there instead of HDMI + Manual? Could be trying to output via your headphone jack even though you've got the correct Bitstream setting.

Heyy thanks for using your time to come by to help me :D. Um I'm still novice so i'm not so sure. Are you wanting me to connect my digital audio optical cable to the DVD/VCR input that's on the receiver and then adjust the input selector to select to DVD/VCR? Cause at the moment, it is connected to the CDR/TAPE along with the receivers input selector being selected to CDR/TAPE.

I suspect the problem is the TV since my receiver and it's connection to my home theatre speakers do indeed work as I have been recently using it for the last 3 years haha. I just decided to try out the digital optical audio cable connection.

Below more photos of my Tv settings:

Digital audio output on TV, try changing it to bitstream, the top one, not HDMI.
