Slow and Laggy and doing simple things
Like changing from one audio output to another is utterly painful. Worst remote I can recall ever having. Back button is totally lagged. I'm over it. It's ruining my experience with what is otherwise an outstanding bit of kit.

If the UI is laid out for use with the directional buttons I tend to use that over the motion controls. Unless you’re talking about the 2sec delay switching between certain UI sections.

Sorry to jump in but recently I was getting fed up with my Harmony-Logitec controller suffering from 3 sec delays periodically when controlling the TV. I mucked around with the delay settings to no avail then as a last resort I decided to power the TV off as it hadn't been fully powered off for ages. Bingo - lags gone!

Backs up @Batman.

Great coincidence seeing this thread.

I have found the LGs that I have used at friends places to be very unpleasantly laggy to do anything - its not display or bluetooth lag as the flappy remote pointer on screen was relatively lag free and OK to use to point, it was the lag when you pressed the button on it to do anything. even opening basic menus was a 0.5 to 1 second lag before they opened up. Reminds me of the factory nav system in a japanese car for awfulness.

My toddler broke the C1 remote. I like the remote. Currently using an 3rd party LG app on phone to control the TV which takes a while to connect so I end up using the physical buttons below the C1 to change sources. New remote is over $90.

Do whatever you want to do man.

I barely use the factory remote. My old LG TV had a similarly slow UI, I use the Apple TV 90% of the time and a fire stick for the remainder

Yeah but that doesnt help to flip between game and dynamic picture modes, or change the audio output when you don't want to use the soundbar or to change inputs etc.
