Hi

I have installed windows 7 to test media center with DVB-T but whenever I go to set up tv it just comes up with analog tv, there is no choice of digital tv.  The stupid wizard is driving me nuts.

I am using an HVR-3000 with the drivers from windows update.

Any ideas.

Which version of Windows 7 are you using?

Since I am trying to install my own version of Windows 7 shortly I will shamelessly go for more info : did it offer the ability to scan for satellite in Windows 7 or are you stuck with just analogue option ? ( no DVB-T or DVB -S ? )

Does the computer 'see' your digital tuners in device manager?  I have an HVR-3000 in my machine but I am running CD4.6 drivers.

Hi

Its a reasonably old build, i think, build 7000, was given to me by a friend on a pc world disc.  Yep I can see the tuner and the Hybrid DVB-T / DVB-S device in device manager working properly.  No, it didnt ask about DVB-T or DVB-S, after asking whether or not I had to use a set top box, it went straight on to "Analogue Aerial".

Might try the drivers from the CD, did you use Vista drivers?  Was a bit scared of using Vista drivers after the drivers for my sound from Vista caused blue screens on boot in 7.

The CD I'm referring to is drivers downloaded from the hauppauge.co.uk website.  (Under support).  I am using the same Win7 build from the PCW disk, and from memory I had to load the hauppauge drivers to get it to work (sorry it was a while ago).

I can confirm that the 4.6 Hauppauge drivers for an HVR-3000 work for build 7000.  I got them working just fine.
