Hey there everyone ,

i would like to say thank you for having such a brillaint website.


I have a samsung 42inch plasma, its been working for over a 2 yrs now, and the warranty has finished.
All of a sudden the tv has gone BLANK, it wont switch on, A RED light keeps blinking and it wont switch the plasma on. Everytim eu press a button on the remote control, it just clicks and flashes the red light on the plasma.

I wondered if yu gus could help me please.

The Manufacturers warrenty has ended , but this still doesn't mean the CGA has ended. I don't know what a reasonable time for a TV to work is.. but maybe 3-5 years maybe but give it a try with who you got it from.. Claim under the CGA to get it fixed.

Had a good reply typed out, then GZ ate it, I thought I copied it to clipboard, then ended up posting my AirNZ booking confirmations LOLOL

Hmmm GZ keeps eating my replies in this thread.

I am using a real OS today too (Linux).

Try again (and see if my clipboard now contains my post or my flight bookings).

tonyhughes has been trying to say: I had a Sanyo 42" Panel and the Y board went on it, and gave me those exact symptoms (not to say yours couldn't be a fuse, PSU, dead mouse, or other item).

Mine was out of warranty, drop-shipped to us from Singapore and was a corporate freebie. They still fixed it for free. (would have been around $200 otherwise).
