hi all.
gave some movies to a freind mostly avi, pc runs vista .tried to watch movie ,sound only no picture, installed K-lite codec pack got a picture now but has green stripe middle of picture in some ,horizontal line of blue blobs at bottom of picture in others. using windows media player classic to view. would uninstalling original codecs help ? whats the problem anyway ?
please help a struggling newb out. thanks

What format are the movies in? Are these recorded from TV or ripped from a DVD or acquired from other sources?

ive used "ffdshow-tryout" for ages. no problems. others i've used had problems with lip syncing.
