i'm waiting for a database to restore, so i'm killing time with some podcasts.

unforunately i'm allergic to itunes... the drm makes me feel dirty.

i got a few replies via email and jabber - nobody else brave enough to post their geeky listening habits on on GZ :-)

Heh, I don't mind Itunes as I don't use the DRM component. I mostly have a few news podcasts namely ABC News and a few talk back ones... I tend stay away from most of the blog podcasts as a few people have an ego to inflate :)

Its also nice to sync them on my Ipod... though I rarely do in the morning because I'm in a rush.

podcasts are not time-sensitive to me. if i want news, i go to a website.

i often listen to podcasts weeks after release, although more often now that i actually own an ipod :-)

im still coming to terms with podcasts, and am not sure if listening to them will be a long term activity for me.

Worthy podcasts? Hmmm.... None. They all seem to me like self-promotion. And I can get streaming radio if I want something live.

I'm waiting for some local content. There was an article in this week's Listener suggesting that Radio New Zealand may look at offering content at some stage in the forseeable future, but nothing is set in stone.

I'm not terribly interested in any of the content which is currently available but, when I finally get my wish, I hope to be able to download a podcast of New Zealand news before I leave home in the morning, and listen to it on my way to work.

I -never- set a time to listen to a specific radio show, but if they were podcasted, then i probably would.

I have been listening to lots of technology based podcasts today, and a few comedy ones too.

Quite good.

I think what i will do is set about thirty podcasts to always have the last ten episodes on the ipod - then i will always have a big selection of things to listen to at any time.

I have found myself taking the Airplay to work, and sitting the iPod next to the stereo. It hijacks the radio station frequency quite happily (and annoys the cr@p out of co-workers).
