vinnieg: That Yamaha listed above is fine, so are most of the Onkyos under 1k, but they are all Pass-through hdmi, so it doesn't actually matter, since they are just acting as an HDMI switch, it makes the cables tidier at the back, but doesn't add any extra signal processing or HDMI surround to the receiver, you'll still need a digital optical/coax to run the surround
You can't really go too wrong with Yamaha or Onkyo receivers, the 600 series Onkyos are good, the 300/400 Yamahas are also good, although I had an RXV465 before my current TR606 and it had some clipping issues, so i took it back and that's when I noticed the Onkyo on the shelf :)
