I have been running EPG Collector for a few months now and it seems reasonably robust although on the odd occasion it exits with no data for some reason. I am using a Nova-T DVB-T card.

Now when I run it, I always get no data - actually epgcollector times out even though it appears to have found the stations etc. For example see this log.

At the end it says collecting MHEG5 data and after running for about 2 minutes with the machine at 100% CPU it just times out.

Does anybody know what this could be?  I am getting data from Kau Kau on an external UFH antenna.

Thanks

Check if your software firewall (Windows Firewall or otherwise) allows the EPG Collector program access to the network. Have you recently changed your security software by any chance?

No changes to software, network configurations etc. But what I did do was add the other two transponders to the epg collector.ini file and this time it worked. It went through all three transponders and eventually downloaded the data.

I suspect I have lousy aerial connection strength since I notice on the recordings I make, there are occasional glitzes, data dropouts etc. I might have to get an aerial guy in to look at signal strength and see if all the winds we have been having in Wellington have blown the aerial out of alignment.
