I've been using v2.0.17 of EPG Collector very successfully with DVBLink's XMLTV importer  but want to try out v3.  The instructions tell me to put the parameter files in "the TVSource EPG directory".  I don't have one of those and have tried creating one in just about every location possible all with no luck.

Could someone explain where the parameter and plugin files are meant to go?

Cheers
Kev

Sure thing.

The plugin and its parameters both need to go in the same folder. For me (on Windows XP) that is:

C:\Program Files\\Sources\\EPG

Windows 7/Vista might be Program Files (x86)...
You need to put a copy of the plugin in each source folder that you want to collect EPG for. You also need (at least) one plugin configuration file per transponder (to allow you to specify different types of collections).

Thanks for the reply.  That was one of the locations I have tried.  I just don't get any recognition of the plugin / epg within DVBLink Server config.

Where is it supposed to appear within the DVBLink interface?

Firstly, I think you need the latest DVBLink beta.

1. Open DVBLink Server Configuration.
2. Select any of your stream sources on the right hand side.
3. Edit the source (by clicking on the button at the end of the row).
4. Go to the EPG Scan tab (5th tab).
5. The EPG Collector plugin should be listed as "EPG Collector for DVBLogic".

[Edit: by the way, looks like my earlier post got screwed up. The path is C:\Program Files\[DVBLink install folder]\Sources\[Source folder]\EPG]

Thanks again,  That's kind of what I expected to see but don't.

All i get are the standard TVSource tabs - Device - Headends - Scan - Network Scan - Channels

It's as though the add-in has not been recognised at all.

Should have read your reply properly doh!

Upgraded to TVSource 3.2 and now the EPG Scan tab shows as expected.

Cheers!
