Hi Everyone,

I've had my sony TV for some time now. I think around 2 years. I was over at a friends and they've bought a new Sony LCD TV. I pressed the 'home' button and was instantly jealous! Obviously the SOny firmware has continued to improve, and the newest vresion is a gorgeous updaet.. It's the little thinks that make the difference!

So the question is. Can i download the firmware for the latest Sony LCD's and update my firmware?
- Will it brick my TV?
- Can i roll back?
- Can I only install a firmware for my TV version only?

Thanks for your help!

Unlikely that it can be upgraded unless it's one of the latest with Internet connection. My 3 year old 46" Sony has a problem with a Harmony remote in that it won't go to HDMI inputs, analog ones are fine. Asked Sony. They're not interested

Unfortunately you're stuck with the interface as it is...
TV's seldom receive firmware updates outside of their 1st year of manufacture, let alone 3 years!
