Hi all - finally moved to freeview territory (flat bush, Auckland) and have freeview terrestrial up and running on my Windows 7 Media Center.  Yay!  Which means I'm now grappling with the guide.  *sigh*

Freitasm's EPG collector instruction sticky is here on the forum, but I notice it's pre-version 3 and the EPG center GUI - am I still good to follow that set of instructions, or are there updated instructions somewhere out there now?  And are those frequencies listed on the sticky still current?

The frequencies are still ok, but you should be able to go through the new GUI without problem - I will probably update that post this week...

Just something to keep in mind when updating post. The Freeview DVB-T frequencies  for Dunedin (Mt Cargill) are changing on the 24th January. Other regions will also be changing at some point.

Hi, EPG Collector not working for the last couple of days, I wonder why, did not make any changes but now it exits with code 0 (successful) but there is "no data" for all the stations.

I find strange that it lists something like this:
- station count:39 buffer space used 7641
- collecting channel data..
- stopping bouqet reader
- station count:0 buffer space 5242
- collecting MHEG data from PID 0x3EB
- data blocks 100 buffer space used 446659

Any ideas please?
I am in Auckland (Waiatarua).

The area and region on the Advanced tab must be set to undefined for NZ terrestrial.

And on the Output tab you must NOT tick 'Set the channel number instead of Service ID' or 'Create an LCN tag....'.

Hi,
one of those settings in "advanced" was not right, now is fixed, thank you for pointing me into the right direction.

go onto mediaportal (if you use it) and write down the frequencies it scans for and add them in EPG Collector.
the other way is to just google your frequencies and use the sucessful ones. Over here in the mighty manawatu my frequencies are 690000,708000,778000. EPG Collector should find yours.
