We have the TH-P54V20Z, as as if the line bleed, floating blacks, image retention etc. wasn't bad enough, the EPG interface is frustratingly difficult to use. Often, pressing the EPG button has absolutely no effect, or there is a huge delay before it appears on the screen. I'm also being constantly ejected from the EPG, with usually around 30 seconds until I can get back in.
I'm interested to know whether any other V20 owners have these problems with the EPG?

That would be normal. My Sony TV and Panasonic Blu Ray Recorder are the same. So is my old STB. Very rarely ther's no effect but massive delays are common. The HVR2200 tuner in the PC is very quick but only produces about 5 - 10% of the info in WinTV but mostly all the info in Media Centre.

and that's probably not normal.

Image retention?
Permanent? Or for a few seconds?
And have you upgraded to the latest firmware version?
No EPG issues at my end.

Signal strength and 'quality' (whatever that means) are both superb.

Image retention, not permanent burn in. Still lasts long enough to be very annoying.

It's on the latest firmware.

I've seen image retention for around 2-3 seconds after 3+ hours of gaming.
It does stay on the screen for a while if you turn the TV off directly after gaming. But turn it back on, and it's good to go.

I always see retention of the menus, EPG etc. and it lasts a lot longer than 2-3 seconds.

One good example I can remember is fro 'The Kings Speech', there was a scene involving a back-lit window (large colonial grid style window), and that grid hung around for a good while after that scene.
