Thanks for some good help from RustyGonad, I've got things up an running now. Not trouble free thought...
I've got Freeview Satellite and Sky TV (via the Jaycar reader) operating in the TV Pack now. I've set up the guide, and remapped all the channels, including merging the Freeview and Sky overlaps such as TV1, TV2, TV3 etc.
Now I can switch between Sky and Freeview channels with no problems. But if I try to record a Freeview channel and watch a Sky channel, or record Freeview and record Sky, or record Sky and watch Freeview, my Sky channels all go funny. The feed comes through all blocky and the audio stutters. The Freeview channels remain fine.
The only way to get the Sky channels back properly is to close down Vista Media Center, stop and restart the DVBSBridge Service, and then going back into Vista Media Center.
Anyone know what might be wrong?
I'm using ProgDVB, DVBSBridge, and NSCAM 0.0.0.7, and have two Hauppauge HVR-3000's to do the tuner functions.
I've installed TV Pack 2008 for Vista (Clean Build SP1) and did get it going with ProgDVB and DVBSBridge, guide works nice etc... but I have to select Country and Germany, is there a way to select NZ etc.. as now it has added online content for Germany in Online Programs etc from the start menu.. Even If I could change to the US etc..
Also has anyone got this going with 2x NOVA-S cards watching SKY fine but have read people having trouble with 2x NOVA cards and a second instance of the NDSCAM trying to load up.. Also the Guide I have noticed it requires you to view the channel for awhile so it can download the data is there a way to get it to do this in the back ground rather than having to watch every channel for a few mins every week to get a complete guide..? Any other help tricks for TV pack and NDS cobble solution..?
Are you also planning to run a Freeview Satellite feed into VMC? If so, I had troubles with the ProgDVB feed corrupting when I recorded or watched a Freeview channel and tried to watch or record one of the Sky channels at the same time.
When using the ProgDVB solution, I was chosing NZ as my region and all was ok. There is another app which is part of DVBSBridge called MCE Frequency Detector. Look that up in the DVBSBridge installation instructions and it should fix the problem you are encountering.

I've got Sky decoding in DVBViewer ok (some channels the audio is sped up for some reason), but I cannot get the DVBSBridge link working. When I do a scan in VMC, it only picks up one channel (normally C4) but that channel cannot be viewed as a TV Signal error pops up in VMC. I'm at a loss as to what I've done wrong as Rusty has a similar set up and it is working fine for him. Our only difference is that he is running v3.9.2.0 of DVBViewer, and I'm running v3.9.2.0. I cannot see where to download v3.9.2.0 from the DVBViewer website...

Hey there, I did look at the Freq util for DVBSbridge, but was not sure where the ini file lives and what name to give it and where ot put it. I have only one card at the mo but wanted to get another so I could watch a sky channel and record another sky channel probably won't worry about free view DVB-T only using Freeview DVB-S as we have an old Plasma and not fussed about HD as Sky won't be in HD :-( but the picture is magic compared to using my old mce500 and 2x external decoders.
I'm running ProgDVB 4.89.3 from memory the last version that works with DVBSBridge. How do you get on with the guide stuff do you have to stay on a channel for awhile to get it to populate that channel..?

The DVBSBridge instructions are pretty clear so follow them and you'll be able to use MCE Frequency Detector successfully.
How are you going to getting two Sky channels decoded at the same time?
Guide wise - I didn't have it running for long enough to see how long it took to populate the guide so I cannot answer that one sorry.

Hey that sounds cool. I've almost nailed my Vista Media Center Sky and Freeview setup now. It would be nice to get two Sky feeds but the software I'm using doesn't currently support this to my knowledge.
I am having trouble getting DVBViewer to find Fashion TV, Alt TV, CI, Documentary Channel, Fox News and CNBC. No idea why...

Hey there, do you need to run ProgDVB or DVBViewer for Media Portal or does it have its own DVB software as I'm keen to get this to work in Vista MCE but have heard people having issues with multiple versions of ProgDVB and NDSCAM trying to run. Cheers
