some advice please. I have dismantled the case and fixed up the optical drive door. Before I assemble it all I ask for advise. Shoild I take the front panel off the dvd/bluray drive. And do you think now is time to put layers of insulation tape in front of bright leds rather than outside of case. thank you

okay too late to edit but I pulled the board off where the lights are and they have plastic covering the holes. This is hard clear plastic. So I have given 2 coats of black paint and also shining a bright light from the other side as I didnt want to stop the light altogether. And on the drive hinge I have used hot glue gun and put a bit of glue at end of the plastic hinge on spring loaded end.  Hopefully this will stop the hinge from sliding back along the door flap groove again.  Now Just for the optical drive.

I would remove the optical drive door cover. I would think that way there will be less strain on both the optical drive tray assembly and the door on the case. Note I am only talking about the door cover not the whole front cover.

Thank you Nety for the help. Appreciate help and ideas from everyone.  Case is all up and running and I have removed the front panel from the optical drive tray. Time will tell but dont see any reason now why it wont hold up. It is very quiet and really cant hear it running.  I was worried I put too much paint on the holes for blue led lights but could have put a third coat on. Finally I am happy with the result.
