chiefie: You can do the same with Bravia TV, as long as it has the right geo-location IP address, the Bravia Internet services will find the available services to use.

True on the geolocation. First time I set it up it was connected to a router that had Unblock-US running so it showed Netflix etc. Then I had to reconnect it to the network (changed ISP's) and didn't have Unblock set. It dropped all the US services and showed me NZ ones. I had to clear out the local memory (factory reset wasn't enough), config the router for Unblock-US again and next time the US services showed.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

CutCutCut: THis is available at the Warehouse now. Sharp pricing http://www.thewarehouse.co.nz/red/catalog/product/Sony-Blu-ray-DVD-Player-with-Built-in-Wi-Fi-BDPS390?SKU=1703631&ref=pricespy

By the way, is this "Lawrence" who mentioned this player to the HT Guys on their podcast? Wink

:-)

I have met the guys a couple of times, both times at CES in Vegas. First time we had a timing issue and on the day I was leaving (driving) they were driving in. So we caught up at at Starbucks on the California/Nevada border!  Really nice guys.

Second time we both were staying at the same hotel (MGM Grand) so we caught up for breakfast.

I have an open invitation to visit Ara's home to see his HT and home automation system which I will do one day.

That's fantastic. They do seem like genuinely nice guys. I love the fact that little pieces of kiwi news pop up every now and then.

hi there,

i have one of these devices but when I try to activate the Hulu service (i have the apps showing) it asks me to register the device.

Has anyone come across this and know how to fix it? I have registered it on Sony Entertainment Network. SEN doesnt show any premium content that I could access.

Cheers

Hi I got one of these to replace my broken Ps3, I set it up via un block us and all was good with Netflix, Hulu plus and Vudu all working great. but now sometimes it starts up and connects to nz eg I get quickflix and other channels. I have to go to sony entertainment sie and redo the setting up to USA and is good again for a few days. Then it starts up as NZ again. Is they away to make it sit on the us account and never nz. I have tried the reset many times but still eventually changes

Thanks pete
