It's at full pricing on their website though, am I missing something?
And sadly, I doubt the Samsung's sound will be any better than the LG's... they will both be pretty much atrocious.

I can't say I've ever used the sound straight out of our LG... It probably sucks too. but it's connected to the LG "home theatre" so they both come on at the same time.

When I got home and Googled the LG model there were other people saying the same. It isn't just bad, it's as if your listening to a cellphone on speaker.

I'm not expecting wall shaking bass from an onboard speaker but this was laughably bad, luckily NL were very good and agreed to swap it with no fuss.

OK so I'm very happy with the F5500 Samsung but am having issues where there's picture but no sound when I turn the TV/Telstraclear on using the Logitech Harmony (you know, set it up to turn everything on with one key) so I am wondering if it's something to do with the HDMI handshake?

I'm no expert but I notice that the TV turns on much faster than my old Panny LCD so is it because it's too fast?

If I get no sound then the only way to fix it seems to be to unplug the HDMI cable and plug it back in again but I'm thinking that this probably isn't advisable, can anyone help?
