Hey guys, thanks for all the replies. Decided to wait a while and save up to build a whole new system instead. Since there is no cpu upgrade, I might just go for a Ram upgrade from 2x1gb DDR2 to 2X2gb DDR2 rams but I'm having trouble which ones I should get. Could you guys look at the list below of all the DDR2 rams from Ascent and let me know which 2gb Rams would be best for me and meets the mobo's requirements. Thanks
Does the Cl3,4,5,6 etc matter? and i need one that is not ECC right?
Just unsure, like the 2 Corsair single 2gb ram look the same but one is $60 whereas the other is $80 and the cheapest 2gb ram (the A-Data) dont have a CL value on it....
Those CL values are CAS Latency values, the lower the value the better, but the lower the value the higher the cost. I think for DDR2 a common CL value is 5 so if it's not specified assume it's 5. CAS Latency will probably not matter to you since you aren't building a high end system.
Guess my motherboard wont be able to handle a SSD or SATA3 HDD since its so old and wont be able to handle the transfer speeds if I were to add another hdd into my comp?
