A month or so ago the first part of a Desperate Housewives episode was broadcast in 16:9 Anamorphic over analogue.  They switched it back to 4:3 after the first ad break. :(

It would be great if TVNZ started broadcasting in widescreen on SKY because it is annoying having to change back into 4:3 mode when viewing TV2 after viewing TV3 in 16:9.

I love being able to view TV3 in widescreen.

Can't beat the burble of that American V8. Ohh yea!

Americancars: I love being able to view TV3 in widescreen.

Yep, agreed Smile

I tried watching TV3 news in WS for the first time tonight via MySky.  During a news item I hit the pause button and flicked between Letterbox and 4:3.  It's amazing how much of the news footage viewers are missing out on when watching in 4:3.

Even though the pillarbox bars at left and right on library footage are sometimes a little annoying, it's a small sacrifice to make considering how much more of the picture you get to see on the rest of the programme.

Yea, I'm watching House right now and I am thinking about which parts would be cut off and it's astounding how much would be missed. Yea, I love MySky, it's so much better than you expect it to be.

Yea, I was really happy when this happened and when came back on after the first ad break in 4:3, I was really disappointed as well.
