Panasonic 65VT60.
I have the 55" version with x 2 windows behind me, one to the side.
It's more than fine.

One more for the VT60. Nothing is going to touch it for the foreseeable future.

They are EOL. They aren't making any more and no new stock will be coming. They will probably not be heavily discounted again.
If anyone has stock 6 months from now, it will probably be listed at $5999.00 or more (just like the old VT50 is currently).

Another vote for the VT60. I recently bought the 55" version and it's fantastic. Easily the best TV's we'll see at a reasonable price for the next few years... OLED at a decent price is a ways off yet me thinks!

Can't vouch for that particular model but have a Panasonic plasma and it is amazing. I'd say my room is average brightness but if I really care for a movie or game I'll close the curtains....

There's no reason for retailers who have stock to discount.
Simply put, they don't have to.
People want it, not everyone has it, and there's no more coming...
If you want one, pony up I suppose.

Normally suppliers would subsidise TV's to ensure old models move along and make room for the replacements...
But as it's the end of Panasonic plasmas, that part of the equation no longer comes into play.

Exactly why I bought one!  Was just lucky Harveys had a good discount that week.  Got my 55" for only $2800!

I dropped 4k on a TH-P55VT about a year and a half ago and was one of the best investments in a tv I have ever made, Did a lot of research before getting it and have not been disappointed  in it since.

I've got a Panny ST30 in a very bright room, french doors on one side and windows on the other and have never had an issue with viewing during the day. I can't recommend one enough, you won't be disappointed with a plasma. Just pull the trigger and buy one.

And those are $US prices! Anyone thinking they'll sit back and wait for a sale, is going to miss the boat.
