I have a few SSD around here (256GB and 512GB) but use mainly on NAS for testing. My laptop is a HP Folio and it uses a 128GB mSATA. It's very fast but also pretty hard to swap for a higher capacity mSATA drive. I have reach 3GB free so had to decide to remove something - Diablo III left the house so to speak. It's now at 20GB free.

SSDs need a good chunk of free space so that the level wear algorithm can work where to read/write.

Jase2985:
freitasm: Actually AHCI makes a big difference in speed. Make sure you are using the Intel AHCI drivers and not the Windows default drivers.

i didnt notice much difference when i switched. but i have older hardware and still running sata2 so that could explain it

I had a 64gb sata III adata SSD running on an old core 2 duo laptop and the difference was night and day, even though it was only running on sata 2 (1.5?) not sata 3.  I did a clean install, perhaps try that.

Im nearly up and going again but have a couple of things which aren't quite right

I'm missing the Kordia channels (Prime, Maori, radio stations etc). Ive rescanned a couple of times and nothing, I am getting the channels through my normal TV, is there a setting I'm missing to pick them up?

The second is that EPG Collector seems to populate the EPG correctly in Windows Media Center doesn't seem to upload all the channel logos. I have checked the check box to put the do it and all the logos are in the image folder.
