*The only annoyance I have is that if you configure it for Game mode to reduce input lag, you get a little popup every 30 minutes telling you how long you've been playing for.

On my VT60, the control for it is Menu - Setup/Display Settings/Playing Time Display.

Well bugger me, there it is.
Thanks for the tip.
You're welcome.
toaster: Speaking of Panny plasmas, yes they give you great video PQ, but just remember that plasma is no good if you're planning to use this TV as a computer/HTPC screen or even for gaming. It's perfect for video, but anything else and you will get massive flickering on bright backgrounds, image retention on static images, and line bleed on horizontal lines - personal experience with the last few series of Panny plasmas.
If you plan to game or hook up your PC/server, then go for UHD LED.

??? I used my VT50 for Battlefield 3 & 4 on PS3 with none of those issue. There is a pixel cycle function that eliminates that on the ST/VT50 and failing that a screen wipe process as well. Was this on the ST/VT30 perhaps ???

Regs: Maybe you need to be particularly picky
Regs:
I ended up with the panasonic vt60 - the one criticism i have is that it doesnt handle a bright room as well as the LCD/IPS screens - I still need to close the blinds in my lounge during the day to see properly. If the LG 55" had performed better, and if i could have gotten that on a really good price I probably would have gone that way as it would have handled the bright room much better (oled would have been better again). The 65" i felt was just too big for my space :)

Hey Regs - where in NZ are you? I have been looking around for a 65VT60 but they are thin on the ground. Do you mind sharing where you saw these?

toaster: I currently own the curved Samsung 65HU9000, which I think is a wonderful and sexy TV with very good screen uniformity for an edge-lit tv and minimal clouding when SMart LED setting is engaged on Low. This TV also has by far the best 4k upscaling picture quality of all TVs on the current market, with good sources like 1080p blu-rays it brings out the kind of detail that is simply impossible to see on a mere FullHD screen...
