No, the item you want is exactly that but with round a minimum 60Watts capability, so you would need to spend more like $120 for a suitable step down transformer. I would recommend one around 100W if you can find it, you should always at least double the capacity for what you need.

Right so something like this

Might go have a chat to DSE and see if they will refund me if the AMP is stuffed. If not then I will need to keep it.

Yeah DSE are great, said as long as I return it in good condition they will allow up to two weeks for a refund.

This didn't work (expected) so I took it to a speaker shop this morning. They said if I had blown it you should be able to smell it? which we couldn't. They said it could just be the fuse, however neither of us could find one...

What's the deal with this? could this be the problem in the first place???

Some fuses look similar to resistors and are soldered to the circuit board in the same way.

Some speaker shops are more expert in marketing technique than electronic circuit repair. You'd have to balance the NZ price ~$140 against taking this further.

Yeah I've come to that conclustion, even if I fixed this and had the transformer it's better to buy the X-530 and have 10 speakers!!!
