kiwitrc: Whats the cheapest way to run windows on one of these. I might abandon Mint or at least dual boot to see if the jerkiness is resolved with a different OS.
ajobbins: Does the NUC have HDMI-CEC support on board?
CYaBro: I've got a Celeron NUC and it plays everything I've tried without a problem, up to 1080p.
ping182nz: Hi,
What is your opinion on running a NUC Next Unit of Computing BOXNUC5i7RYH as a HTPC?
This one is an i7 and has a fan, but I have read reviews saying it is quiet for general use....
What do you think, I know it is overkill but it has the best grahpics out of the NUC's
do they com with remote like other units
ping182nz: ... None of the NUC's come with remotes, they have a built in IR sensor though...

I have ordered one of these:
HP Windows Media Center RC6 Remote Control TSGH-IR07
"If you are looking to take control of Windows Media Center on your new Intel NUC PC ... then look no further than this compatible Infra-red remote control (IRRC).
"This is the ideal companion for your NUC based media system and allows you to easily navigate the menu system used by Windows Media Center."

dan: that remote should definitely work with the NUC.
i dont use mediacentre (i use mediaportal) but if theres an option for remotes in mediacentre somewhere, you need to enable it as a "MCE" remote.
