That looks good... Although my more immediate solution was (as explained in a previous post) to buy an Apple Mac mini, install Windows Vista and run Media Center. All my ISO are stored on my Windows Home Server now.

I was looking for the same thing and found/bought a TVIX-4000SA.
I have converted ALL my DVDs (about 400) to ISO image files (using DVD Fab Platinum). I have about 5-6 terrabytes of storage on my PC containing all the ISOs.
The TVIX is networked (hard wired) and the PC runs Netshare NFS. The box can stream via wireless, but for larger content like DVDs, it should be hard wired for best playback.
The TVIX plays back the DVD image file exactly like the disc - all menus and on-screen navigation are preserved - you'd think you were watching the original disc. Virtually perfect with almost zero playback problems.

The box does a TON more and TVIX makes higher end units, but for what I need, the 4000 is perfect. It has its own remote and the on-screen functions work quite well. Overall, it's a well designed product. And if you are simply streaming from a network you don't even need to buy a unit with a HD - you can buy one without (which is what I did).

TVIX has had many fantastic reviews for quality/bang for the buck and I can confidently recommend it.

I too like the sound of TViX... how did you get hold of it? I like the look for HD M4100SH which has HDMI output... (I can't see the major difference between HD M5100SH and HD M4100SH though, both have same ports and features except different case.

Internet is my backyard...

The TVIX is pretty easy to find.
I bought mine directly from the manufacturer. Go to:
TVIX product line

I don't see a whole lot of difference between then 4000 and 4100 other than the HDMI instead of DVI inputs and H.264 support.

If you want the 4100, it is exactly the same as the 5100 - the only difference is the shape. The 5100 is cylindrical and costs more to manufacture. Otherwise, the functionality is identical (same with the 4000/5000 units).

I opted for the SA version which uses SATA drives rather than parallel - just make sure you choose the right unit for the type of drive you plan on putting into it. I currently don't have a drive in mine, but I may consider putting a small one inside it simply to make firmware updates easier.
