I wouldn't want to go 1080 on a screen that large. It will be as ugly as those low def 32's that many places are peddling.

 

 

With due respect, rubbish. I have a 65" 1080 Panny plasma. Being one of Panny's later plasmas, it still runs rings up against any 65" 4k LCD running a 1080p picture.

 

Of course, IMHO (-;

 

 

 

 

I agree, we have one of the last VT series 65" Panasonic Plasma units and the picture quality is only exceeded by 4K. It is something the VT series was famed for.

I have a Panasonic P60ST60, excellent TV I should have got the 65 but can't recall how much more that cost...
