http://www.skytv.co.nz/high-definition.aspx here states two sky movies channels and sky sport 1 and 2 will be the high def channels. I suppose that will give the largest potential audience. It will be interesting to see the reaction when it is finally released and everyone realises they are going to have to pay extra for it. The advertising so far hasn't mentioned it will be an add-on. Maybe it will be free - Yeah right! Freeview becomes more and more inviting!

I think by far the biggest shock will be from those people who believe that *every* Sky channel will be HD.

I don't think that the movie channels that they will will be a great attraction for me.  Movies 1 showings are hardly uptodate these days.  Rent them out about 12 months before they are shown here.. I'm not interested in sport for Sky HD will not be for me..
