Disrespective:

I have a harmony touch around here that I could/should be able to dig out for you to try if you like @timmmay? It's been gathering dust for nearly a year and doesn't owe me anything if you want to have an extended trial.

I upgraded to a Harmony Elite and love it. The hub is definitely useful for my complex setup.

Thanks @disrespective, that would be the second things you offered me (S3 before) and that help with the design stuff before as well. In this case I'll decline with thanks, the current remote is working well enough for now.

I'll have that conversation @disrespective

I'm still rocking a 525 and I notice Harmony don't offer anything cheap with that level of functionality any more.  The buttons have almost all worn off, and it's died a few times but sprung back to life.  I dread the day it takes a final dive.

Also keen to investigate the hub option.  Pricewise that looks pretty good, but I'm not sure if the family is ready to go completely physical remote less...

Yeah, the 525's are pretty good - I prefer the layout of the 525 over the other models, and the 525 controls a good dozen devices ?  - which was handy when I had a VCR, DVD-R, DVD, TV, Projector, Sky, Tivo, etc.

Still have two 525's, though they are slowly dying - one side button doesn't work, the other has a missing line on the LCD.
