The only store with them in Auckland now is AV World... although there may be a speaker sitting in the Newmarket Bose dealer?
Maybe they're left with just the Bose dealers wanting to range their kit?
sen8or:
Best bass I ever felt was with $20 worth of Aura bass shakers, removed from their gaming vest thing and installed in the sub-frame of a couch, being feed from splitting the LFE channel of my amp. Didn't need to have it loud at all, but you could literally feel every bass note. Made the action films such good fun
LOL ! I have a bout a dozen of these shakers that I picked up when Jaycar were flogging them off cheap. Still havent used them, despite going thru at least one lounge couch replacement.
It is probably an implementation of Waves Maxxbass. You can make even a cheap system sound surprisingly loud with the right EQ.

Given that a lot of punters will shortly be shelling out 50% of the price of this speaker for a mobile phone, doesn't seem priced so excessively after all?
sen8or:Just got an email through from a Christchurch Bose dealer about an exciting new wireless speaker - $5k, for just 1, but it has a 4500watt amplified built in and is capable of notes down to 14hz.
is it April1 already?

How is this any different from people spending upwards of $10K on OLED TV’s?
It’s impressive hifi that’s actually pushing speaker technology forward not ‘middle-of-the-road-fi’.
The reviews I've read would make me run a mile. Check Amazon.
OTOH I wouldn't pay $10k for a TV set either regardless of "quality".
