I considered the A1, however after their disastrous Dolby Vision update I opted for the LG C7 65"

Their 2018 lineup also isn't Dolby Vision capable until the firmware rollout.. insane..

Just followed instructions here to check and yep looks like I had the Dolby Vision update install fine a while back with zero issues so had not even noticed.

Yep it's sorted now, however initial releases were a disaster, months of waiting between different regions, initial release would only work on streaming apps, then other devices had to be updated to work with Sony's Dolby Vision profile etc.

I'm more dumbfounded that their 2018 TV's don't come out of the box Dolby Vision capable, and customers will have to wait for yet another firmware release, lets hope its not more of the same.

Might have been hassle for earlier purchases of a1 but me I just plugged all the usual cables in and tunrned it on and after copying my android details from the phone it said there was firmware update and it downloaded and installed.

No issues.
