I have been using the Apple TV for years. It does Netflix and Plex and the occasional TVNZ and TV3 viewing.

I occasionally fire up the Freeview receiver and promptly remember how much I hate adds now.

Ran Kodi for a long time, now running plex and have been for the last 2 or 3 years. Have dipped my feet in with a couple of others, but Plex always seems to "just work" and it's hard to leave that behind.

I run Plex on an old i5 computer I had spare along with Sonarr, Radarr, Jackett, Tautulli and Ombi for management.

Plays out to Chromecasts spread around the house.

Plex server running on an old Mac Mini down in the garage. A mixture of Shield TVs and ATV 4Ks spread around the house as clients.

Amazon Fire TV (and DNS4me) for all the 'overseas' streams - UK mainly.

Kodi is installed for playing content from a media PC on my network.

Works realy well with HDMI-CEC turned on - One remote for the TV/AFTV and AMP.
