If you're sinking some serious cash into a decent projector DO NOT do what many else do - skimp out on a projector screen. It's the difference between "Nice." and "Holy crapballs!"

I'll give some more details later... But the short version is that if you have the money, I think it's worth the upgrade from a $2k projector to this $9k projector (that's often found for well under $9k). True 4k, sharp as a tack, decent blacks (MUCH better than anything sub $4k), incredible colours and VERY good motion creation... Finally for me - it's not DLP so no rainbow.

I don't regret spending the money on it in the slightest. Is it 4x better than the BenQ W1700? Not a chance - but we're well into diminishing returns here.

Also I'd agree with the screen comment. I have a good Ambertech in-ceiling screen. I would prefer a permanent grey screen, but the room isn't dedicated HT.

Cheers - N
