sweet, THANK YOU mcraenz!

let us know when your patch is included into the SVN, then i will be able to use my hybrids properly.
(currently i just set one hybrid tuner to digital only and the other hybrid tuner to analog only)

did you see my post on the My Radio not being re-enabled problem? can you replicate that?

Do i still need to test this? Might have time later tonight, but if you've already confirmed it i suppose it's not needed?

Yes.  It doesnt really care if the signal is HD or SD.  A stream is a stream as far as it is concerned.

I'm using MP and TV Server RC3, and set up the hybrid configuration for my HVR-2200.  But I'm experiencing the occasional crash when changing to/from Prime on the analog tuner from/to a freeview channel.

I don't think it's a TV server problem as it appears to continue operating fine.  Just MP crashes sometimes, and restarting MP works fine.

I don't see any problem obvious in any log file except the error.log as follows.

2008-10-22 22:41:38.993000 [ERROR][UpdateIconThread]: MediaPortal: Unhandled exception occured

Can anyone help decipher the problem?  Or should I post this to a bug report in the MediaPortal forum?

Thanks,
Ross.

Sorry I only just discovered this discussion.

The solution I found to fix this issue was:

1) Make the hybrids groupings as normal (with a digital and analogue in each).
2) Set the priority of the second analog card so that it is above the first one (assuming default order).

I posted this solution deep inside another tread in the Freeview forum, but it is long buried.

Hope that helps.

This 2nd step is not quite a solution it just makes it less likely to crash.  If you engage 1 tuner in DVB-T and force the other one to flip back and forth between analog and digital you can still cause a crash.

Thanks for the pointer.  I'll try that and see how it goes.

Is this a problem with the TV card or just MediaPortal?  If it's MP then why has no one fixed it?

Cheers.
